Tee Ball:
Players use Tee and Coach Pitch to hit ball. Introductory division recommend for young first time players. (4 year olds typically play 2 Spring Seasons of Tee Ball before moving up to Machine Pitch, some 5 and 6 year olds will be ready to move to machine pitch after just one season of tee ball)
Machine Pitch:
One step above tee ball this level introduces more rules as the players start to understand the game better. A pitching machine is used instead of the tee in order to get used to seeing/hitting a ball coming at them.
The machine pitch division is designed primarily for 6, 7, and 8 year olds with tee ball experience. This division is also a good fit for most 7, 8, and 9 year olds who are playing baseball for the first time.
Prep:
This is the first level where the kids start pitching. Score is not kept but for the most part all the rules used in later divisions are in effect.
The Prep Division mostly consists of 8-10 year olds with baseball experience.
Some advanced 7 year olds as well as 11 year olds that are new to baseball can also be a good fit for this division.
*Prep Teams are formed via a draft; managers pick players based on their performance at tryouts and play during previous seasons; players that register for prep but are not drafted will automatically be placed on a machine pitch team*
Minors:
This is the division where things start to get competitive.
Minors is aimed at ages 9-11 with solid baseball experience. Some 12 year olds can play this division as well if they are not heavily experienced or aren't quite ready for the Major Division.
*Minor Teams are formed via a draft; managers pick players based on their performance at tryouts and play during previous seasons; players that register for Minors but are not drafted will automatically be placed on a prep team*
Majors:
The highest division we offer.
Majors is for the top 10, 11, and 12 year old players.
*Major Teams are formed via a draft; managers pick players based on their performance at tryouts and play during previous seasons; players that register for Majors but are not drafted will automatically be placed on a Minor Division team*
